The Doctor

The Doctor attended The Poughkeepsie Institute of Technical Science or, as it is colloquially referred to, The Pits. His thesis paper "It's Far to Early to Tell" has been used in classrooms as an example of how NOT to formulate a medical science theory. The Doctor was previously employed in Mallorca, Spain as a master of ceremonies and first aid provider at local wine tastings before joining the Tuesday Night Cigar Club.
  • Book Review – “Runnin’ With The Devil” by Noel Monk

Eddie Van Halen recently passed away at the age of 65, and while my heart goes out to his family and friends, I can’t help but also feel a twinge of sadness for those of us who didn’t know the guitar genius personally, but “knew” him nonetheless: The Legion...
  • Film Review – By Night’s End (2020)

Home Invasion Horror is certainly its own subgenre at this point, with The Strangers and Hush being two of The Doctor’s personal favorites. When TNCC chairman Cade managed to obtain an advanced screener of By Night’s End and I had a look at the intriguing trailer, you can bet...

  • Film Review – Cry Havoc (2020)

As a man who spends many a lonesome hour in his laboratory while conducting experiments and watching movies, the recent advice to “self-quarantine” and remain indoors like a mole was not as bothersome for The Doctor as it might have been for others. In addition to my admitted proclivity...
  • Film Review – Killer Crocodile 2 (1990)

If Grade-B creature features have taught us one thing, it is that the demonic monster from the original film has laid an egg somewhere before departing the mortal coil for Creature Heaven. All we can hope for is that the sequel doesn’t follow suit by laying its own egg....
